FLAME University’s 12th convocation, held online on September 4, 2021, marked a momentous occasion for the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Prasoon Joshi, a distinguished poet, writer, and Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification, who served as the Chief Guest. Mr. Joshi’s illustrious career in advertising and communication, marked by the creation of iconic brands, has garnered him widespread recognition, including the prestigious National Award from the President of India and numerous international accolades from events like Cannes and D&AD. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the convocation embraced a virtual format, ensuring the participation of students, parents, and honored guests from around the world.
I am very fortunate to be part of this very important day, as this is a milestone for FLAME’s graduates. Even today, I feel like a student, as learning never stops. Life is teaching you lessons every time, and you have to be open and receptive to new learning. It is important that you know your intent, keep seeking, and never stop learning. As you live, you learn. Authenticity comes from your first-hand experience; the more you experience in life, the wiser you become. This is what I call experienced truth.
I would like to congratulate all the students who will be graduating today. The students will have the opportunity to play their part and help create a better future for their families, communities, and country. The never-give-up spirit needs to be imbibed by all so they can reach their definition of success, despite all barriers.
