FLAME University’s 17th Convocation Ceremony marked a memorable celebration of achievement, reflection, and new beginnings for the graduating Class of 2026.
The occasion brought together students, families, faculty, mentors, friends, alumni, and members of the wider FLAME community to honor a journey defined by learning, growth, collaboration, and discovery. More than a ceremonial milestone, the convocation reflected the collective spirit of a community that has shaped and supported each graduate’s path. The ceremony was graced by Shri Harsh Mariwala, Chairman and Founder of Marico Limited, who addressed the graduating cohort with reflections drawn from decades of entrepreneurial leadership and institution-building. Declaring the convocation open, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dishan Kamdar reflected on the importance of remaining grounded in one’s values while continuing to evolve through life’s experiences and challenges. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. A. Venkatramanan spoke about the enduring value of interdisciplinary learning, intellectual curiosity, and liberal education in preparing individuals to engage thoughtfully with a rapidly changing world.
The two most important days of your life are the day you were born, and the day you realize why you were born. Once you discover that purpose, commit yourself to it fully, because the purpose of life is ultimately a life of purpose.”
Leaving FLAME is both an ending and a new beginning—you depart not only with knowledge but also with values that will guide your future. As you move forward, stay fearless, embrace every opportunity, and remember that your actions have the power to shape a better world.”
Education is not only about preparing for a profession, but about developing the perspective to understand people, ideas, and the world more meaningfully. In the years ahead, there will be moments that shape your ambitions, challenge your assumptions, and redefine your understanding of success itself. May you continue to grow with humility, lead with integrity, and remain committed to learning throughout life.”
If we reflect back on our journeys at FLAME, it was nothing short of a rollercoaster. We were incredibly lucky to find professors who guided us through this academic journey, challenged the way we think, and got us ready for this competitive world outside this campus. Beyond academics, we also had extracurricular activities, which helped us stay motivated. It’s something I personally absolutely fell in love with.”
